The University of Toledo Rocketry Club designs, builds, and launches high-powered rockets, with a further interest in engineering and space. We represent the University of Toledo in rocketry competitions around the United States and we strive to win events with our engineering prowess. We are an organization for STEM majors but open to anyone interested in rocketry.
UT Rocketry offers a space that anyone can advance their knowledge in not only rocketry, but also with programs such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, OpenRocket, and Microsoft Office!
Our club members follow guidelines from the National Association of Rocketry and will help out any club members that wish to gain high powered rocketry certification from said association. We have the best resources in Northwest Ohio to help members gain NAR Level 1 or Level 2 HPR certification.
UT Rocketry previously competed in the 2023-2024 NASA Student Launch in Huntsville, Alabama. The competition requirements were to deliver a payload between 4,000' and 6,000', deploy from rocket between 800' and 500', and safely land without using a parachute or streamer.
